Like Poizner\’s fairy tale that slowly ate up an entire village, the non-fairytale reality is that we eat things that no rational person would even consider for a little snack. First, let me point out that this is not some sensational diet revival, but rather a silly idea that people have had the good fortune to videotape. Some joked that detergent, or capsules designed to wash clothes in a washing machine, was a super dessert for a good day. At first, it spread like a really hilarious Internet joke, until a few young people actually tried it.
Then came the wicked idea of pouring water on some of those capsules. Of course, the majority of the public knows that such things are never meant to be put in the mouth, but in the washing machine. But there are others who find it supremely amusing, and their heroic act has received “likes” and attention from all over the world.
Some reasons not to do this
Apart from the fact that all you need is one capsule full of a substance that can literally kill you in an instant, the not-so-delicious taste of plastic and detergent should put you off. There are also several warnings on the packaging of such capsules, clearly warning anyone who tries to lick these goodies. The manufacturer of these capsules certainly did not expect anyone over the age of three to try to get their hands on this hidden delicacy, and thus the “protection” is tailored accordingly. But some geniuses are ahead of the game, and it doesn\’t end with simple child locks. All we need now is a camera (cell phone), a good, equally silly friend who will heroically hand you water, and you can create an Internet sensation.
While no one may be surprised that the setting for such entertainment is the United States, it remains a wonderful ordeal for anyone else to absorb and take seriously such news as someone has eaten a washing machine cleaning capsule No doubt. But who wouldn\’t do a little something for a little glory?
