Natural Decor

In recent years, themes such as zero-waste, waste-free living, chemical-free living, and a return to roots and natural materials have become increasingly popular. This trend has spread beyond the food sector to include pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, fashion and textiles, and even decoration in general.
This Christmas is based on the spirit of natural decoration. Therefore, it is a good idea to go for a walk in the countryside now, before the snow falls, to get some inspiration and gather the raw materials needed to create. Most of the fruits suitable for making decorations of all kinds can be found in the woods.

Whether it is pine cones, chestnuts, acorns, various nuts, tree bark, rosehips or rowanberries. All fruits thus gathered should be properly dried before use. However, care should be taken when collecting twigs; small amounts of those that fall to the ground can be picked up. Picking twigs, however, is prohibited in most forests and should be avoided at all costs.
A melt gun, spare cartridges, and sturdy thread for making your own are a good idea. Once you have all of the above, you can start making, for example, Christmas wreaths, door ornaments, advent wreaths for the table, and various ornaments for the Christmas tree and other places in the house.
If you decide to make an Advent wreath, you should prepare a mold. For example, join willow twigs together to make a circle. Styrofoam and straw molds are often sold in stores.

For example, if you live in the countryside and have an old watering hose handy, you can nail it together to make a loop and stick long candle nails in four places to complete the stencil. For wrapping, use fir or spruce twigs. Stack the twigs one on top of the other and wrap them around the wreath with sturdy thread. For the final decoration, picked berries are used. You may decorate the wreath with various ribbons, wooden ornaments, small glass bottles, or anything else you like. Finally, light the candles.
