Running an organic farm is not just for sunbathers and bio-enthusiasts. Farming really is a serious business venture that can be properly profitable. Becoming a farmer (or an organic farmer) certainly won\’t put you on Forbes\’ list of richest people, but it will allow you to live a decent, healthy life with your family.
People no longer choose food based solely on what is cheapest; rising incomes and the allergy epidemic have made people more concerned about the quality and provenance of food and willing to pay accordingly. Similarly, city people want to go to the countryside. It is attractive to them, at least in a mediated way, and it is something they want to give their children.
What agricultural services and products are most in demand?
