Do you like fashion accessories? Do you match them with the latest fashions? Do you follow new fashion trends or go to fashion shows? I enjoy fashion, so I buy more and more clothes, combine them, compare prices, and discuss with friends where and what I bought.
Fashion houses are filled with new clothes, accessories, shoes, and anything else you can think of. Fashion designers are changing colors and creating new styles of fashion. In fact, sometimes they even go back to previous designs and change only the details. Fashion is a business of sorts. Fashion is one\’s choice and something to be enjoyed. You cannot leave home wearing clothes that don\’t suit you. In the same way, you take pride in the clothes you wear for your partner. It makes you feel good, it makes you happy. That is one side of the coin. But there is another side of the coin.
What happens to the clothes that go unused and unsold? Where do they end up? They are not sold when they go on sale or clearance sales. Does the fashion house have the option of donating these clothes to charity? It is no secret that tons of used clothes are being sent to landfills, and the landfills are growing. What can we do to avoid contributing to an already deteriorating environment?
Smart women are beginning to emerge who care about ecology and the environment in which we and our children live. There are women who renew old clothes, re-sew them, combine different materials, and make new clothes out of old ones. They then sell the clothes on the Internet or in physical stores. In this way, they save clothes that would otherwise end up in the trash or in landfills.
The faded glory of thrift stores is being revived, and swap stores are popping up.
Fashion is not just about new clothes,
but perhaps also about a new way of looking at fashion. We can be in tune with fashion, but also in tune with our environment. The more of us there are, the more we can fight for a better environment.
